PROFILE
After four seasons with Hartford Athletic, McGlynn became the second player to sign a professional contract with Rhode Island FC. The Queens, New York native started 75 of his 98 appearances in Hartford, logging nine goals and four assists in 6,923 regular season minutes. With a knack for the impossible, McGlynn appeared on Sportscenter’s Top 10 Plays on two different occasions in his first two seasons. Prior to turning pro, McGlynn was a four-year standout at Siena College. In 75 matches in Loudonville, New York, McGlynn recorded seven goals and 16 assists. He was named to the All-MAAC Second Team in 2019. Between his collegiate seasons, McGlynn also played with USL League Two side FA Euro New York. The road to McGlynn’s professional contract with Hartford came via the club’s Open Tryouts. After advancing through an invitational combine and keeping his spot in the preseason, McGlynn officially earned a place on the roster and was named to the starting 11 for the club’s 2020 season opener. McGlynn’s youth career was highlighted as a member of BW Gottschee Academy in New York.
