PROFILE
Brito joined Rhode Island FC from USL League One side Union Omaha on December 7, 2023. In his first season in Amber and Bay Blue, the Connecticut native netted three goals and added four assists, logging 1,076 minutes in 35 appearances and 11 starts. Brito signed his first professional contract with Union Omaha on March 22, 2022. In two seasons in Nebraska, Brito logged seven goals, six assists, and 4,359 minutes in 51 starts and 60 appearances. In his first professional season, Brito made headlines with a stellar performance against Minnesota United in the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16. His game-winning, second half strike catapulted Union Omaha to the tournament’s quarterfinal round, marking the first time a third-division club had achieved such a feat since 2013. Before turning pro, Brito played collegiately at UNC Charlotte. In his five seasons with the 49ers, Brito appeared in 141 games, scored 16 goals, added 35 assists, and logged 7,534 total minutes. Brito earned First Team All-Conference USA honors twice while helping the 49ers to four NCAA tournament appearances. The midfielder’s youth career was highlighted by his time playing with New England Revolution Academy, where Brito earned U.S. Soccer Development Academy U-17/18 Eastern Conference Best XI honors.
