PROFILE
With a professional career spanning across six teams, Williams brings a seasoned veteran mentality to the Rhode Island FC attack. A surprise player announcement at the inaugural Rhode Island FC Kit Reveal Party on December 4, 2023, Williams enters his seventh USL Championship season in 2025. In his first season with RIFC in 2024, Williams finished as the joint-leading scorer with 11 goals, adding seven assists in 1,969 minutes across 30 appearances. Prior to his time in the Ocean State, the Montgomery, Alabama, native played for 2023 Eastern Conference frontrunners, the Tampa Bay Rowdies. With 167 professional appearances to his name, including 10 in MLS and more than 11,000 minutes of action since his professional debut in 2019, Williams also spent time with Columbus Crew (2019), Birmingham Legion FC (2019-20), Atlanta United FC (2020-21), FC Tulsa (2022) and Phoenix Rising FC (2022). The forward had a career-best season in Tampa Bay in 2023, where he scored 12 goals and notched nine assists across 31 regular-season appearances. In total, Williams brings 47 career goals and 26 assists into his second season with RIFC. As the 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabama, Williams was a two-time all-state honoree and three-time state champion in high school. In his final season, Williams scored 65 goals and assisted 20 more in just 20 games. At the collegiate level, Williams played three seasons at the University of Kentucky before he was selected 18th overall by Columbus Crew in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. Williams tallied 24 goals and 15 assists in 57 NCAA games in Lexington. Williams concluded his collegiate campaign with a school-record 18 goals and was named First-Team All-American.
