Bringing international, United Soccer League and Major League Soccer experience to the Ocean State, Angking became the 24th all-time acquisition for Rhode Island FC on April 30, 2024. Angking made history in RIFC’s 5-2 win over 2025 Players’ Shield winners Louisville City FC on June 22, becoming the first Rhode Island-born player in club history to score a goal for the club. In total, he scored two goals and assisted one before suffering a season-ending ACL injury in August 2024. Prior to his time in the Ocean State, Angking played for Columbus Crew 2, where the midfielder made 19 appearances and logged 1,048 minutes en route to an MLS Next Pro Cup Championship in 2022. Prior to his season in Columbus, Angking scored twice in eight appearances for New England Revolution II in 2020 and added one assist in five games while on loan with Charlotte Independence during the 2019 USL Championship season. Angking made four appearances in his first professional season with the New England Revolution’s first team after becoming the second-youngest homegrown player signing for the club on January 2, 2018, including his professional debut on September 5, 2018, against New York City FC. A true Rhode Island homegrown, Angking’s youth career started at Providence’s Bayside FC, before he played four seasons with the New England Revolution Academy leading up to his first homegrown contract. At the youth level, Angking was called into numerous U.S. Soccer camps and tournaments from Under-13 to Under-20, including three semesters in the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Residency program. At the senior level, Angking represents Puerto Rico, where he has scored four goals in seven appearances for Los Boricuas after making his international debut on January 19, 2021.
