PROFILE
Zachary Herviaux signed with Rhode Island FC on July 3, 2024, via transfer from Tampa Bay Rowdies. In his first season with RIFC, the experienced midfielder tallied four goals and three assists in 1,254 minutes across 19 appearances. In total, Herivaux brings 120 professional appearances across four USL Championship teams to his second season in the Ocean State, 56 of which came during a successful two-year stint with Birmingham Legion FC from 2021 to 2022. In Birmingham, Herviaux was a regular in the starting lineup, scoring two goals and assisting one while helping the club to back-to-back postseason berths. The Brookline, Massachusetts, native began his professional career with his hometown club, the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, becoming the third homegrown signing in the club’s history on May 2, 2015. While making 18 career appearances for the Revs and scoring twice from 2015 to 2019, Herivaux also spent time on loan with San Antonio FC (2017) and Birmingham (2019) before permanently making the move to the USL Championship in 2020. In his first full season with San Antonio, Herviaux tallied one assist in eight appearances before signing with Birmingham the next season. The midfielder’s move to RIFC marked a return to where his career began almost a decade prior.
