PAWTUCKET, R.I. (Aug. 29, 2026) – Rhode Island FC announced today it has reached an agreement with USL Championship Eastern Conference side Birmingham Legion FC for the transfer of defender Hamady Diop, pending league and federation approval. RIFC will receive an undisclosed fee for the transfer.
Diop signed with RIFC on Sept. 9, 2025, starting 14 games in 20 appearances for the club and logging 1,324 minutes.
The club thanks Hamady for his contributions and wishes him well in his future.
