FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 10, 2023
PAWTUCKET, RI – Rhode Island FC has announced a multi-year partnership with Rhode Island Energy as the Club’s exclusive energy partner. Rhode Island Energy provides essential energy services to over 770,000 customers across Rhode Island dedicated to supporting the transition to a cleaner energy future.
“Rhode Island Energy was one of the first companies I spoke with when I started with Rhode Island FC. They have believed in Rhode Island FC’s mission and positive impact from day one, and this partnership is a testament to that belief. It is an honor to have such a well-established brand on our kit. Our respective community-focused teams are excited to brainstorm ways to work together to grow Rhode Island FC’s positive effect across the state”, said Vicky Lynch, the Club’s Chief Revenue Officer.
The crown jewel of the partnership is the placement of the Rhode Island Energy brand on the upper back of every jersey worn by the team and sold at retail. The partnership will also include a special feature at every match called “Electric Plays Presented by Rhode Island Energy”, which will highlight all of the exciting RIFC match action. The partnership will be brought to life for the first time this weekend with both brands supporting the Rhode Island Interscholastic League State Soccer Championships.
”We’re proud to support Rhode Island FC and the momentum they’re building across the Ocean State,” said Brian Schuster, head of External Affairs for Rhode Island Energy. “As the team takes the pitch at our Tidewater site, this was a natural fit for us to become a long-term partner, and we’re excited to see the excitement they’ll bring to Pawtucket and Rhode Island for many years to come.”
