We are aware of recent media reporting regarding Rhode Island FC and members of our investor group. As previously stated, Rhode Island FC respects the privacy and confidentiality of its investors and does not publicly disclose individual holdings unless investors choose to do so themselves. This is consistent with common practice among privately held sports organizations and private investment.
The investments referenced in the reporting were made through the club’s standard investment process. There was nothing unusual or improper about these investments or how they were made. Rhode Island FC has not engaged in, nor is it aware of, any wrongdoing connected to these or any other club investments.
The success of Rhode Island FC and the Tidewater Landing project speaks for itself. Since inception, the project has attracted more than $125 million in private capital investment, welcomed more than 250,000 fans to the stadium in its first 15 months of operation, created more than 1,000 jobs, and progressing toward the delivery of more than 400 housing units. Our focus remains on delivering this transformational project for the people of Rhode Island.
